Iza Cholakhyan
Ability will enable a man to go to the top, but it takes character to keep him there.
A partner architect Iza Cholakhyan works with ACD since 1997.
Iza paints for her own satisfaction as well as in a professional capacity. She is dedicated to her art and is thankful for the beauty we are surrounded with--it provides inspiration for her work. Iza's art works are an interpretation of human experience, and she is constantly learning more from both nature and man.
Since 1959 year, when she became enthralled with calligraphy, she continually worked, studied and practiced to master the ancient art form. Her aim is straightforward; therefore her art requires no elaborate explanatory notes. Simply put, it is her hope that the work's visual power, internal contracts, and inspiring and thought-provoking text will draw the viewer in and leave them with insight into their own existence. Like life, calligraphic art is unique and meant to be explored. As with human nature, diametrically opposed sensibilities - complexity and directness, sophistication and old-fashioned values - coexist within my one-of-a-kind work.
She received her education at the Yerevan State Engineering (Politechnical) Institute, Department of Architecture and Construction.
